Note: Pandua is one of the oldest towns of Bengal, currently located in district of Malda, West Bengal, and historically known as Hazrat Pandua or Firuzabad. It served as a prominent mint town for over a century and a quarter, from the reign of Ala ud-Din Ali Shah to Rukn ud-Din Barbak Shah I. After a hiatus of nearly five decades, the mint was revived under Sher Shah, who struck coins there between AH 946 and AH 948.
