Note: The Gond kingdom fell to Akbar in 1564 following a valiant battle at Chauragarh, where the legendary Rani Durgavati sacrificed her life. The date on this coin closely aligns with Akbar’s death, suggesting that Madhukar Shah may have briefly asserted independence by issuing coins in his own name.
