This particular specimen, minted in Lahore and dated AH 962, displays a partially worn date on its surface. Notably, a complete mint-name is visible to the left of the rectangular cartouche on the reverse side. This coin is likely a commemoration of Humayun's entry into Lahore on the 2nd Rabi' of AH 962 (February 24, 1555 AD), an event marked by the reading of the Khutba in his honor. The issuance of this coin corresponds with these significant historical events.&nbsp;It is estimated that fewer than 10 coins sharing the same die characteristics are currently held in private collections.
